About the Competition

The English for Speakers of Other Languages International Olympiad (ESOLIO) is an annual global competition designed to promote excellence in English language proficiency among non-native speakers. The 2025 edition will be held in Bali, Indonesia, from June 16-20, bringing together talented students from around the world to compete in a series of challenges that test their listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Goals

Creating a platform for intercultural exchange and understanding by bringing together participants from different cities and countries.

Elevate the English language skills of individuals from non-English speaking countries, enabling them to compete and thrive globally.

Provide a standardized evaluation of English language proficiency based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) levels.

Enable participants to communicate effectively across cultures, promoting mutual respect and collaboration.
